Careers at ArenoSoft

Build software that has to keep working.

We're a Lahore software house that designs, builds and then keeps running custom software, with a focus on EdTech and real estate. If you like owning real work and shipping things people depend on, you'll feel at home here.

Why here

How we actually work.

No mission-statement gloss. Here's what the day to day is really like, and what you'd be signing up for. We build with small, accountable teams and a steady way of working that doesn't change with the wind.

  • You own real work

from the data model to the screen, not a thin slice of a ticket. We're small enough that what you build matters and big enough to back you up.

  • We stay on after launch

so you see how your decisions hold up in production. Building software that has to keep working teaches you more than shipping and walking away.

  • Plain over clever

in code and in conversation. We write things to be read by the next person, review each other's work kindly, and say when something isn't ready.

  • Room to grow

into the parts of the work you want. People here move across disciplines, lead projects and mentor, when they're ready and not before.

How we hire

Five steps, no games.

We keep it quick and we tell you where you stand at each step. Most people go from first call to offer in a couple of weeks.

  1. 01

    You apply

with a short note and whatever shows your work best: a CV, a portfolio, a repo. No cover-letter theatre.

  2. 02

    Intro call

a 30-minute chat about you, the role and how we work. You ask us as much as we ask you.

  3. 03

    Practical exercise

a small, fair task close to the real job. Short by design, never a free weekend project.

  4. 04

    Team conversation

you meet a couple of the people you'd work with and go deeper on the craft.

  5. 05

    Offer

if it's a fit on both sides, we move quickly and put the details in writing.

Open roles

The board.

Don't see your role? Email us anyway — we hire good people when we meet them.

Senior Full-Stack Engineer

EngineeringFull-timeLahore / Remote-friendly

Apply

Own features end to end on long-lived product work, mostly in our EdTech and real estate accounts. You'll shape the data model, the API and the screens that sit on top of them.

What you'll do

  • Build and ship features across the stack, from database schema to the user interface.
  • Review pull requests and help keep the codebase readable for whoever picks it up next.
  • Work with product and design to turn a rough idea into something people can actually use.
  • Carry features through to production and keep an eye on them once they're live.

What we look for

  • Five or more years building web applications in production, not just prototypes.
  • Strong with TypeScript and a modern framework (we lean on React and Node).
  • Comfortable designing relational schemas and writing queries that hold up under load.
  • You write tests, you read other people's code kindly, and you finish what you start.

Mobile Engineer (React Native)

EngineeringFull-timeLahore / Remote-friendly

Apply

Build the mobile side of products that have to work on a mid-range phone and a patchy network, not just the latest hardware on office wifi.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain React Native apps for iOS and Android from one shared codebase.
  • Handle the awkward parts well: offline state, slow networks, push, and app-store releases.
  • Profile and fix performance so screens stay smooth on older devices.
  • Work with the backend team on the APIs your screens depend on.

What we look for

  • Three or more years shipping React Native apps that real people have installed.
  • You know your way around native modules when the JS layer isn't enough.
  • Solid grasp of state management, navigation and the release process on both stores.
  • You care about how an app feels on a cheap phone, not only a flagship.

Not a perfect match? Tell us anyway.

Product Designer

DesignFull-timeLahore / Remote-friendly

Apply

Design interfaces for software people use to do their job, where clarity beats decoration. You'll work close to engineering, from first sketch to shipped screen.

What you'll do

  • Turn product goals into flows, wireframes and high-fidelity screens.
  • Keep and extend the design system so the work stays consistent across a product.
  • Sit with engineers during the build so the shipped screen matches the intent.
  • Test ideas with real users and change your mind when the evidence says so.

What we look for

  • Four or more years designing digital products, with a portfolio of shipped work.
  • Fluent in Figma and comfortable maintaining a component library.
  • You understand accessibility and design for it, not as an afterthought.
  • You can explain why a design works, not just that it looks good.

Not a perfect match? Tell us anyway.

QA Engineer

Quality AssuranceFull-timeLahore / Remote-friendly

Apply

Help us catch problems before clients do. You'll mix hands-on testing with automation, and you'll have a real say in whether something is ready to ship.

What you'll do

  • Write and run test plans across web and mobile, manual and automated.
  • Build and maintain automated checks that run on every release.
  • Reproduce, file and track defects clearly enough that anyone can act on them.
  • Sign off on releases and flag the risks plainly when something isn't ready.

What we look for

  • Three or more years in software QA across web or mobile products.
  • Experience with at least one automation framework (for example Playwright or Cypress).
  • You can read a spec, find the gaps, and ask the question nobody else asked.
  • Comfortable working close to engineers and product, not in a silo.

Not a perfect match? Tell us anyway.

DevOps Engineer

PlatformFull-timeLahore / Remote-friendly

Apply

Keep the pipelines, environments and infrastructure dependable across our client projects, so teams can ship often without holding their breath.

What you'll do

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that make releases boring in the best way.
  • Manage cloud infrastructure as code and keep environments consistent.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting so we hear about problems before clients do.
  • Work security and backups into the pipeline, not bolted on at the end.

What we look for

  • Four or more years in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering roles.
  • Hands-on with a major cloud (AWS, GCP or Azure) and containers.
  • Comfortable with infrastructure as code and a scripting language or two.
  • You think about failure first and design so a bad day stays a small one.

Not a perfect match? Tell us anyway.

  • Time to learn

Paid time and a budget for courses, books and conferences that make you better at the job.

  • Sensible workload

We plan around a steady pace, not a permanent crunch. Late nights are the exception, not the plan.

  • Paid leave

Annual, sick and public holidays, taken without guilt. Rest is part of doing good work.

  • Modern tools

The hardware, software and cloud access you need to do the job without fighting your setup.

Hiring questions

Questions before you apply.

Are these roles open right now?

The roles on this page are example openings that show the kind of work we hire for. They aren't a guarantee that a specific seat is open this minute. If something fits you, email us anyway. We keep good applications on file and reach out when a real vacancy matches.

Can I work remotely, or do I need to be in Lahore?

Our office is in Lahore and we like having people in the room, but the roles are remote-friendly. Plenty of our work is done from home or on a hybrid pattern. Tell us where you are and how you prefer to work, and we'll be honest about whether it fits the team you'd join.

What does the hiring process look like?

Five steps: you apply, we have a short intro call, you do a small practical exercise that mirrors real work, you meet a couple of people from the team, and then we make an offer. We try to keep it quick and we tell you where you stand at each step.

Do I have to do a long take-home assignment?

No. The practical exercise is meant to be short and close to the real work, not a weekend project. We'd rather see how you think on a small, fair task than ask you to build something big for free.

I don't match every requirement. Should I still apply?

Yes. The requirements describe a strong fit, not a checklist you must tick in full. If you're close and you can do the work, send your application and tell us how you'd grow into the rest.

Think you'd fit?

Send us a note and whatever shows your work best. We read every serious application and reply within a few business days, open vacancy or not.
